Exposing Racism 1: African Bees

Hey, JJ here, and I’m coming out of the shadows. No, I ain’t coming to steal your wallet, you racist motherfucker; I’m coming to educate you, because I’m an educated black man. Yes, you heard me right, an EDUCATED black man. The white man’s efforts to keep me stupid have not prevailed. So I have come to educate the rest of you.

That being said, I was watching television - I do like to watch it now and again when not reading philosophy - when I heard some motherfucker talk about African bees. Why do they call them African bees? Because people think that they kill everyone and no one wants them moving in next door.

Let’s look at this another way. Let’s look at how those supposed “African” bees act. They are considered territorial and aggressive. They get all pissy when anyone that doesn’t look like them comes by. They spread to other people’s countries and kill off the native bee population. African? Hell no, sounds a lot like the white man. They should be called white bees!

Keep your eyes and ears open, because I’ll be back to expose more racism.

  1. Wait… aren’t they taken from Africa to another country to do the dirty work of, oh say… other people… to supposedly handle a problem with the natives? I dunno… sort sounds a wee bit familiar!

Nice to read you JJ. Interesting points.

  2. Fight the power brother!

  3. Check out this blog… you might have a brother in arms against racism..

  4. Sorry, I think the guy at the link that you gave me is pretty bad himself. Someone in the comments pointed out the author’s hypocrisy by saying “Oh, it’s o.k. to print ‘Kill Bush’ shirts, but this is what makes the news?” -and the guy had to be called a hypocrite before he took the words “white trash” out of the title of the post itself, so I kinda think the guy needs to (if only to get his point across) rewrite the entire thing, because his accusation that putting a curious george pic on a shirt and saying Obama ‘08 on it was one of the worst racist comments that could have possibly been made is a little inflammatory in itself, seeing as how in my beer-soaked memory I seem to remember something about lynching, hangings, separate bathrooms for the coloreds, etc., that separated blacks out as a different, lower level of the species being a BIT more offensive then a damned shirt with a monkey on it. If anything the shirts are just a tasteless joke, and getting up in arms about it accomplishes nothing really except to increase his sales and provide free publicity to the guy and his bar (which could have been the idea the whole time… remember capitalism and the fact that sensation sells). The guy that made the shirts never even came off as a bigot, screaming racial epitets during the interview with CNN; he just said that he was a conservative and that “…The guy(Obama) looks like him(Curious George)”.

That all being said… The shirt did not offend me. I thought it was a bit of dry humor that may have rode the line, but it didn’t “pierce me to my tolerant core” or “set back race relations 50 years”. the only thing that came out of me was the fact that the shirt was not funny, and that I could write better jokes with a spear through my skull.

  5. Well put Mr. Iron.

In the P.C. age we live in, someone can’t make a simple joke like that (even though it’s not funny), without being accused of racism, sexism, etc. I think it was in poor taste, but I don’t think it deserves quite as much backlash it is receiving.

  6. I know. People are going apeshit over a damned shirt. I seem to recall that there is a little war being fought in the Mid East right now in both Iraq AND Lebanon.

I could be wrong… but wouldn’t WAR be a little more important than someone making tasteless shirts?

  7. Yes, it should be. But it seems petty shit like this always seems to make the headlines instead of the real problems in the world.

  8. hi hi , i am looking to enlist all bloggers for a web campaign to make sure UN Committee for the Elimination of all forms of Racism to uphold their mandate.
