Could someone please help this small-town Oregon boy figger it out? As it is, the government grew vastly greater than the founding fathers ever intended. Power was granted to the states, not to the federal gov't to dole out to the states. Taxation without representation was a big issue then. Now we get taxation WITH representation, of a sort. I'm going to stop before I get worked up...
