Atheists Need To Shut The Fuck Up
I don’t believe in religion. It’s not my concern whether or not God even exists, let alone what asinine laws he thinks we should live by. Still, every time I hear an Atheist open his/her mouth, I feel like stabbing them in the eye with a crucifix and kicking it repeatedly until the small amount of brain matter they possess leaks out of the back of their skulls like water through a broken levee after Katrina.
When they talk it’s like listening to a nineteen-year-old college student on a soapbox, uttering regurgitated propaganda he got from a professor that hasn’t seen the outside of a university in 30 years. You know, one of those brainwashed, nescient motherfuckers who believe all of the worlds problems can be solved by wearing Che Guevara t-shirts.
These people have a pike shoved so far up their asses that it makes Vlad The Impaler jealous. Just the utterance of the word “god” is enough to make them offended. What a bunch of pussies. God God God God God God God God God.
In the name of God, how many people have been killed? Is a common argument. But how many people have been killed in the name of Freedom? Or in the name of the advancement of an ideology? What we have here are Atheists projecting a larger problem on the belief in god and in religion. It was not God or Religion that made the Crusades, or the Witch Hunts, or the genocide but rather passionate belief itself. Consider Stalinism, where people were oppressed and slaughtered because their religious beliefs were seen as a threat. It was just a matter of one belief murdering another.
I dare you to go find someone to protest any and all strong beliefs. Any group of individuals who, regardless of religion, believes they are more righteous than another group will undoubtedly oppress or eliminate the other group given enough time.
This is the hypocrisy of Atheists. Their beliefs follow the same principles followed by the religions they resent. Fundamentally, they simply believe they are the right ones and want to eliminate everything that does not adhere to their beliefs from public forums.
Ultimately, we are supposed to live in a free society, where we can believe whatever we wish and are free to express those beliefs in any non-destructive way we see fit. How free is a man who walks passed a tablet of the ten-commandments and says, “How can we allow this?!” A free man will walk passed something he is offended by, shrug, and go on with his fucking life.
There are plenty of examples of religious groups being guilty of the same hypocrisy, so perhaps I am bias against Atheists. But I have known too many religious, god-believing people doing too much good for too many people to believe they are the root of all distress and evil. I’ll start being more sympathetic towards Atheists when I see them pushing churches out of the way and building shelters for battered women and children, start organizing groups to help support single parents, and take control of all those orphanages that those evil religious people are running.
I have nothing against Atheism in general. What I hate is the ignorance of these people to not recognize the difference between the passion for a belief and the belief itself. Islamic terrorists use religion to spread their hatred of our culture. Often religion is used as a tool, twisted and distorted in order to propagate hate and intolerance, but in these instances, religion is a tool. If you take away a person’s tool, they will just find another one. So, by getting rid of religion, or getting rid of a belief in god, we will not eliminate the negative aspects of humanity to which they are attributed.
If we got rid of religion, we will still get more of the same. We see it in politics as well; we hear the stupid arguments: “People are dying BECAUSE OF THE WAR ON DRUGS”, “Their children are dying BECAUSE OF U.S. FOREIGN POLICY”, “Your grandmother died BECAUSE WE DON’T HAVE UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE.” The real problem here, and the sad thing, is that the most passionate people of any belief will always be looking for martyrs to prove their points, and if they can not find them, they WILL make them…..
….One day there will be the police and the government to prove to you that they were right.

Interesting post.
Are you QUITE sure you were drunk when you wrote this? It’s oddly coherent.

Not quite drunk, but drinking of course. It was a Saturday afternoon after all.
That was pretty GOD damn funny. (See I offended both groups there) I do agree that atheists should probably concentrate their efforts on something other than bitching about religion still being present in society.
The only religious people I like (and this includes athiests as well) are the ones that I have to ask as to their beliefs before I know that they have them. I personally always thought that beliefs were an internal process and didn’t require you to openly advertise them unless you were an active member of such beliefs, like a priest or something. Look guys, if I was curious about your belief system I would ASK, not require you to beat me over the head with it so that I am aware it is there.
That said, tehre are religions and religions. How many Catholics or Lutherans go around blowing themselves up next to baby carriages in Pizzerias for God. Ideas do matter. Otherwsie, point taken.
